Sie haben beide die Tour de France geprägt, nun haben Jan Ullrich und Lance Armstrong über ihre größten gemeinsamen Momente gesprochen:

Der sportliche Respekt war immer schon da. Ich fand das schon unglaublich von ihm, wo er dann aufgehört hat. Sein letztes Jahr 2005 und hat mir dann auf dem Fahrrad nach Paris noch eine Einladung gegeben für seine Abschlussfest. Hat er da wirklich gewartet, bis ich mit meiner mit meinem Team fertig war? Das fand ich schon wahnsinnig. Und bis ich dann da war und dann haben wir ein kurzes Interview gemacht. Unglaublich. Unglaubliche Atmosphäre. Kriege ich jetzt noch Gänsehaut? Aber ich glaube, diese Freundschaft ist auch entstanden, weil wir einen ähnlichen Leidensweg hatten. Und Lenz ist einfach. Einfach. Wirklich? Wirklich. Man sieht, er ist hier. Lance Armstrong ist in Germany. Hallo. Und vor allem wollte ich noch sagen, er war da. Auch wenn ich wo ich einen Freund, wo ich wirklich die wahren Freunde gebraucht habe. Da hat er keine Mühen und Kosten gescheut. Ist sofort im Flieger, hat mich da besucht, hat mich besucht und das hat mir Kraft gegeben, dass ich jetzt hier stehen kann. Dieses Museum habe ein eigenes Festival habe. Da hat Lenz auf alle Fälle einen ganz großen Anteil.
